Everett Jeter has joined the team of focusEDU as Consulting Director for Financial Aid Services after more than a decade of leadership in higher education compliance and financial aid administration. Everett looks forward to providing his skills and professional expertise to assist the leadership of the higher education community.
For the past five years, Everett has served as Director of Compliance and Financial Aid at Queens University of Charlotte, where he built a reputation for bringing regulatory rigor and operational discipline to one of the most heavily regulated functions in higher education. In that role, Everett aligned the university's financial aid practices with the complex and continually shifting federal and state regulatory environment while fostering a collaborative culture inside his department and across the enrollment and business offices. His work emphasized practical, sustainable compliance — the kind that holds up under audit without burying staff in unnecessary process, and the kind that gives institutional leadership confidence in what is being reported across Title IV, institutional aid, cost of attendance, and student packaging.
Prior to Queens, Everett supported compliance operations at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he focused on streamlining internal processes to strengthen organizational outcomes.
