Consolidate Your Various U.S. News College Rankings and Improve Your Performance
U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings came out almost six months ago and new data for this coming year’s rankings are due to be submitted in a few months. Their Online Program rankings were made public in January and Graduate School Rankings will be released later this month.
Ask yourself how prepared you are to answer any or all of the following questions from your Board of Trustees:
- Can we prepare an informative, strategic annual report addressing how we doing vs. our primary competitors and peer group on these rankings?
- On which measures are we strong, and where do we need to improve?
- What are our year-to-year trends?
- Can you explain the methodologies used in all of these rankings?
- Do you have a structured approach to compile, submit and track data?
- Do we have rankings goals and strategies that foster recruitment and the student experience?
All of these questions are valid and relate to each of these U.S. News college rankings: undergraduate, graduate and online programs.
Our rankings consultant at focusEDU has extensive experience in helping schools improve their rankings through an approach that ensures accurate reporting and compliance with U. S. News guidelines and rankings success.
Many schools don’t have the time to understand U. S. News methodology. This requires conducting in-depth calculations on many metrics that require more than simple reporting. We do. We keep current with U.S. News’ frequent adjustments to their formula and changes in Carnegie Classifications.
